Misguided Medicine – Book Review

Posted on January 12, 2015November 13, 2016 by BJJ Caveman

Misguided Medicine 1I’ve been a long time listener of the Relentless Roger and the Caveman Doctor podcast, and have listened to every single episode.  At the time of this writing they’ve put out a whopping 75 total episodes!  Unfortunately they’ve been on hiatus for the past couple months, but since this is one of my favorite podcasts I’m on a twitter campaign to get them to start up again!

It was through this podcast that I was first introduced to Dr. Colin Champ who just recently completed training as a radiation oncologist and is now working at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. … Read More

5050BJJ

I just wanted to take a short moment to wish you all a Happy New Year!

Things have been really crazy in my life with some pretty big changes on top of all the typical holiday stuff, which is why I haven’t been as responsive lately and haven’t put out any posts.  Once things settle down I’ll get back to writing.

In 2015, you can look forward to me writing about:

  • My experience and full review of the Ketonix Sport
  • My thoughts on Kiefer’s T3 Fuel supplement and the results of my thyroid tests after taking it.

You can listen to the podcast here.

And read the transcript here.

It all happens around the 38:10 mark.  The theory goes something like this:

Coffee contains ‘cafestol’ and ‘kahweol’ which are compounds called diterpenes.  These are found specifically in the oils of coffee beans.… Read More

Random Readings December 14, 2014

One of the beautifully ornate gates at the Wurzburg Residence in Southern Germany at the start of our drive along the Romantic Road.  It’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

  1. When the BJJ Cavewife and I visited Antarctica and kayaked in the open ocean between towering icebergs we felt like we were pretty extreme.  We never imagined there were people crazy enough to do something like this!
  2. Sometimes Journals and the scientific articles they publish are complete jokes… but this one takes the cake.
