Day 5 – Nutritional Ketosis

Posted on December 17, 2012January 8, 2017 by BJJ Caveman

Weight: 179
AM Ketones: 1.1
PM Ketones: 2.1
AM Blood Glucose:
PM Blood Glucose:
Hours of Sleep: 7:50
Energy Level: Good
Physical Activity: Tabata intervals x 2 alternating 60 lb kettle bell swings and burpees.   Followed by jump rope.  Total work out time approximately 12 minutes.

Notes:

Slight elevation in weight, but still within normal variation.  Ketones are higher at night than in the day time.  Which is in line with what I’ve been reading.

Still haven’t been able to get some BJJ training in.  My instructor is still having car troubles.  We are going to California soon with some time off, and I intend to get at least 5-6 days of training in.

I guess this period of rest has been good for me given my elbow and wrist issues…  I’ll definitely write a post soon about the perils of not tapping out!

Tomorrow if we have time in the morning, I’ll put up some of my body measurements… to see if there has been any interval change.  That will be the true test of measuring change in body composition… short of getting a DEXA or BodPod.
