On vacation in NYC with no ketone strips. I did a good job following the ketogenic diet allll the way until we hit the New Years Eve party in a bar… it was at this point where the proverbial wheels came off the wagon.
I thought I could keep things in check by limiting my imbibing to dry red wines… but somehow this degenerated into shots… and champagne ..and ice cream .. and pizza. Not the most friendly combination for nutritional ketosis… or even sobriety at that.
Oh well, all part of the process. The trick in the end is not to feel guilt or shame. All part of the process.
Tomorrow is another day… and another year.
Be healthful, be joyful, be forgiving, and surround yourselves with love… for auld lang syne.
