I just wanted to highlight a deal that I was introduced to. The folks at Athletic Greens are currently running a promotion where they are offering the supplement for 50% off their regular price through the month of January.
You can choose between:
- 2 bags of Athletic Greens (60 day supply), 1 bottle of Omega 3s, and eBook for $88.50.
- 1 bag of Athletic Greens (30 day supply), 1 bottle of Omega 3s, and eBook for $48.50.
Since I’ve been a regular customer I can tell you for sure that this is a great deal. It’s normally priced at $97 for 1 bag, so to get 2 for $88.50 is a real bargain!
They offered a similar deal to their regular customers this past Black Friday, but limited the total amount we could purchase to 4 total bags… so of course I took advantage of it and bought all 4. Then because I suddenly found myself with a 4 month supply, I called them up and asked them to suspend my regular subscription, which they did without any fuss or hassle.
Still on the fence?
If you’re on the fence about trying this out, I know exactly how you feel. You can read my full review of Athletic Greens here.
One of my biggest concerns was that this is a ‘subscription based’ product: meaning that they set your account to auto-bill once a month, charge your credit card automatically, and then ship the product out to you. Auto-bill products always made me feel uneasy in the past and this was not exception… especially since canceling or suspending a subscription required a phone call.
Well I can assure you that after more than 6 months of being a regular customer, my fears were unfounded. Their customer service agents are very responsive, very accommodating, and very friendly.
When I wanted to suspend my subscription because I was going out of town, it was no problem. When I wanted to suspend my subscription because I had an over-supply from their Black Friday deal, again no problem.
So if you’ve been on the fence about trying this out, this is a great opportunity for you. Use this link to take advantage of this special offer:
What does Tim Ferriss think?
As a side note, as I wrote in my review, I first heard about Athletic Greens in Tim Ferriss’ 4 Hour Body when it was first published way back in 2010.
I was curious to know if he was still using it and continues to stand by his recommendations. Through the magic of Twitter, I asked him:
@bjjcaveman I do. Why?
— Tim Ferriss (@tferriss) November 4, 2014
@bjjcaveman Cool! My fridge is full of it. Important to refrigerate after opening.

Tim again reiterates this recommendation in one of his recent podcasts (The Tim Ferriss Show Ep 51) where he answers the listener question: “If you had to choose one favorite food supplement what would it be?”
You can listen to full segment starting at 29:10…. or if you want to skip ahead to his answer, go to 31:16.
Surprise, surprise… it’s Athletic Greens.
UPDATE – 1/23/15
The deal has been changed and now no longer includes the Omega 3s. I’m told that this is the deal that will run from now on until the end of the month.
