This past July I was invited to be a guest on the Health Nuts Anonymous Podcast and I had a great time chatting with both Jay and Jeff. I was surprised to discover that Jay, also does shift work so he knows the special sort of hell that comes with having to constantly flip the internal clock back and forth. We spent some time sharing some tips and I introduced them to a supplement that’s been somewhat helpful for me.
Actually, since the recording of this podcast I began experimenting with a whole host of sleep supplements, some of which have been more effective than others.
One part of the interview that I remember in particular was when Jeff asked me a question that went something like: “with respect to the three pillars of health: sleep, diet, and exercise, what percentage importance would you give sleep?”
Up until this point I hadn’t really considered this… and my first thought was that they’re all equally important so sleep would be 33%, but before I could say that I thought about it a little more and realized that sleep is actually MORE important… and should account for at least 50 – 60% of the weighting.

Sleeping is very important. 85% or more.
