Today was a travel day. Woke up earlier than we normally do to run some errands, tidy up the house, and then rush out to the airport.
Weight still within normal variation. A little disappointed with the PM ketones. We were at the airport and I had some BBQ ribs and beef. I’m guessing they were generous with the amount of sugar they placed in the BBQ. Then for dinner we had a little bit of Korean BBQ kalbi. I’m sure they marinated the beef in sugar marinade as well.
I guess these are the perils of eating out. You lose control of the ingredients and are at their mercy. Will try harder not to eat out, or if I do will need to pay better attention to what I order.
I also had some blue berries, which are supposed to be ok, but just a quick check today shows that 1 cup has 21 grams of carbs (I’m supposed to keep total carbs below 50 gms).
One good thing I forgot to write about yesterday was that I drank an entire bottle of Kombucha and still stayed in the nutritional ketosis range, so at least I know that Kombucha is ok. It’s supposed to be a probiotic and what not.
Finally got some glucose sticks. Dinner tonite was late, so the measurement was obtained only 1 hour after my meal. It’s good to now have something else to track.
In terms of my body measurements, I try once or twice a month to measure my abdominal circumference, hip circumference, and thigh circumferences (both right and left) and add them all up. This should be a rough way to estimate change in body composition.
I can say that when I first started tracking, way back in January 2011, my total measurement was 128.75 total inches.
I kind of stalled at around 118 total inches earlier this year.
And now after prepping for and being in nutritional ketosis (except for tonite.. DAMN BBQ) I’m at around 117.55 inches.
I’ll try to do these weekly.
